Partnerships and Commissions

We regularly partner with a wide range of organisations on co-branded projects, training, research initiatives, bespoke Programmes design, campaigns or workshops - that all match our core values of breaking down the barriers to leadership and employment for young people, making a positive difference in our communities and helping to reverse the UK’s unrepresentative leadership landscape.

From government departments or working with corporate teams and engaging big business to local youth groups or charities and universities - the scope for partnership with UpRising is huge - and we can work to all kinds of budgets.

Our Services and Costs

Training: Our experienced programme managers and youth workers will work with you to tailor a project based on our tried and tested programme curriculums. We can offer a one-off workshop, a module or full programme of activity, this could be focused on leadership, social action or from a wide selection of training activities that we offer. We’ll also throw in our expert delivery teams to facilitate the training.

Campaigns, Focus Groups & Consultation: With a decade’s worth of experience working at the forefront of youth social mobility, diversity and inclusion issues and how to solve them - we are well versed when it comes to reaching, recruiting, training and developing diverse and underrepresented talent.

We can also look at how you engage the communities you serve or help you to develop your diversity or CSR agendas - the possibilities are endless. On top of that, our diverse alumni, over three thousand of them in the UK, have been through UpRising’s world-class development programmes and have the knowledge, networks, skills and confidence to help your business develop.

Recent Projects

In the run up to the General Election 15 and EU Referendum 16 we were commissioned by the Cabinet Office to design and deliver campaigns to encourage people to Register to Vote.  We created a hard-hitting viral campaigns and ‘action days’ across the UK lead by our amazing UpRisers.

In the recent general election, we hooked up with the Bite The Ballot’s #TurnUp campaign to rouse turn out. This included a bunch of our UpRisers editing Sky News for the day and the news channel visiting Manchester to see our young people hit the streets and encourage registrations to vote on deadline day.

The Guardian also jumped on board and covered the campaign not once, but twice.

We’re so pleased our hard work paid off, as the last election saw the highest youth turnout in any election over the last  25 years!

‘Supporting Roma Voice’  // Salford University & BHA for Equality

Over Summer 2016 we delivered a mini Leadership Programme for participants on the ‘Supporting Roma Voice’ (SRV) project. SRV was developed to support the inclusion of Central and Eastern European Roma populations in the UK, through a rights-based approach to gathering evidence and developing advocacy and leadership.

Social Action: Making a Start on Making a Difference // PwC North West

In Spring 2017 we delivered a workshop to a group of employees at PwC in Manchester as part of the company’s volunteering initiative ‘One Firm One Day’. The session explored what social action is, and what the team could do to start making a direct and positive difference in their own communities.

Social Action & Campaigning // University of Birmingham

In 2016 we worked with first and second year Liberal Arts & Sciences students at Birmingham University to produce a documentary to influence policy change. In the same year we then delivered two bespoke modules on social action and campaigning as part of the student’s relation Work, Wealth & Wellbeing theme of that semester.

“The campaigning skills I have learnt from this module are ones I have found incredibly valuable and helped me understand the work of many groups who work to bring about change.” UoB LAS Student 2016

‘Learn to Lead’ // Factory Youth Zone

The fantastic Factory Youth Zone approached us in 2016 to deliver the social action campaign training element of their 6 week Leadership Programme for young people ages 14-19 from North Manchester. Their Programme ran until 2017.
