My Voice, My Vote
The My Voice, My Vote was a one-year programme that aimed to build understanding and confidence in the democratic process amongst young people who were eligible to vote for the first time in the May 2015 general election.

The programme targeted graduates of NCS (National Citizens Service) who wanted to develop their social action and leadership skills. Participants worked together to run a digital social action campaign, learn from influential leaders, and organise a hustings for Parliamentary candidates in their area. By engaging in social action and understanding more about how decisions get made, young people became better equipped to champion the issues they care about, and how to use their right to vote.
The My Voice My Vote programme has now finished.
Achievements from the last year included:
- 7 delivery locations, with 24 individual programmes delivered
- 551 young people graduating through the programme
- 95 social action campaigns developed
- 22 Youth Political Debates held, engaging over 1,500 young people and over 140 political leaders
The My Voice My Vote programme ran across all the cities we work in.
