Financial Support
Financial Support
UpRising is looking for support from potential funders who are passionate about investing in a future generation of diverse leaders who are plugged into power but remain connected to communities. The UpRising leadership programme has a dynamic programme of events that provide the opportunity for sponsorship. We are seeking wide support from a range of sources, including foundations, public sector, trusts, corporations, and from individuals.
Options Include:
- Founding Sponsor for UpRising as a Charity: (up to £75,000 per year over two years) In the next few months UpRising will spin out of the Young Foundation to become an independent charity (Spring 2013). We are looking for investors who wish to be part of an innovative transition funding our premier leadership programme which is currently a social venture into becoming an independent charity.
- Sponsor a city (up to £50,000 per year over two years)From October 2012 we will be operating in 4 cities: East London, Birmingham, Bedford and Manchester. To ensure we secure two year funding in each city we require match funding (except in Bedford).
- Fund a National Head of Alumni (£40,000 per year over two years) The funding will go towards the salary of a full time staff member who will be dedicated to working with our 300 strong alumni. They will work closely with business, public and voluntary sector to ensure our UpRisers get first hand work experience in order to take up leadership roles in the future.
- Sponsor a training package (upto £5,000 for 15 participants): At the end of the leadership programme we would like to provide UpRisers with intensepersonal branding training and/or Debating skills. We are looking for sponsors who understand the importance of these skills in empowering young people to become effective leaders. Employees from organisations are welcome to take part in the training alongside UpRisers.
- Sponsor a place: (£5,000) 1 sponsored place for an UpRising participant plus mentoring/ networking opportunities and full PR coverage for sponsor.
