Requirements for the programme

Are you an enthusiastic 19 to 25 year old who is committed to changing your community for the better? Do you want to develop skills that will be useful in whatever career you choose? Do you want to meet inspiring people of all ages and backgrounds?

Then UpRising is for you.

UpRising is a subsidized programme with participants only expected to cover the small administration fee of their certificate. In return for this extraordinary opportunity, UpRisers should be enthusiastic, energetic, interested in learning and above all committed.

You are eligible for UpRising if you:

• are aged 19-25 and
• live, work or study in the London boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney or Newham; in the city of Birmingham; in the town of Bedford; and in the city of Greater Manchester.

There are only a limited number of spaces and we expect those who apply to be serious about committing to the whole UpRising programme.

You will be expected to give a minimum of two evenings a month for the duration of the course and commit to participating in the wider activities of the programme.
