Rianna Raymond-Williams
Rianna is a 20 year old student currently in the 2nd year of her BA Journalism degree studying at the University of Arts London. She has interned and freelanced for the likes of MTV The Wrap Up, Don't Panic Online, Total Spec, Catch 22, Men's Health and Investment Week. Over the past 3 and half years she has worked as Sexual Health Educator and Mentor for both Shine and the Terrence Higgins Trust. With her experience in both youth work and sexual health promotion she recently launched her own sexual health magazine Shine ALOUD. In the future Rianna hopes to expand Shine ALOUD creating franchises all over London where young people can be given the chance to be involved in a sexual health project and publication. Additionally she also runs her own blog, where she promotes and publicises up and coming talent and businesses. To date she has interviewed 100 clients and her blog has received 16,000 views.
Rianna's SAC is INSPIRIT INSPORT which is a campaign to increase female representation in male dominated sports such as football and basketball. They will be targeting girls aged 13-15 in Newham and hope to generate an Olympic legacy for girls in East London as well as help them to be more active, interact with others in the local community as well as have fun.
Rianna is inspired by local people such as Tokunbo Ajasa-Oluwa (Catch 22 Founder), Jamal Edwards (SBTV Founder), Sebastian Thiel (Upshot TV), and Eddie Stride (City Gateway) as well as national icons such as Sir Richard Branson, Alan Sugar, Beyonce, Mary J Blige and Oprah Winfrey.
