Razali Samsudin

Razali is 25 years old and currently involved in several roles. Firstly, he is a home support worker, supporting autistic individuals and their families with their specific needs, ranging from personal care to emotional support. He also works in a special needs school in Bow, called Phoenix, teaching parents of autistic children basic ICT skills and, tutors key stage 2 and 3 students. He also volunteers as a cyber mentor for 14-25 year olds and as a supervisor at the ‘Welcome Project’, working at a local allotment with homeless people.

Razali has a wide array of interests. His interdisciplinary degree, a BSc in Economic and Social Policy, has deepened his understanding and interests in subjects such as the environment, development, globalization, conservation, alternative energy and sustainable living projects and food politics. He has 6 years experience of working with autistic individuals aged from 4-22 and has a great interest in raising the awareness of autism and the challenges autistic individuals face.

His team’s project, Insport Inspirit, furthers Razali's passion for helping to inspire individuals to achieve their potential and try out things they may not be willing to try due to misconceptions or a lack of communication between young people and those in charge.

He is inspired by individuals such as Prophet Muhammad, Malcolm X, Bruce Lee, Ghandi, his friend Alber who passed away 3 years ago having suffered from Muscular Dystrophy, the parents, familes and their autistic children that he has been honoured to have known, and last but not least his Mum and older brother.
