Liz Harris

Liz is 24 and a recent graduate looking for a job as a TEFL teacher, ultimately wanting to work in the charity sector. She is working towards that goal by volunteering for a number of charities such as the Global Poverty Project, Women for Women International and Oxfam; as well as being an online activist for a number of other organisations.

Her major interests are campaigning on the issues of climate change and women's rights. However, her other hobbies include cross-stitch and baking cupcakes. She has often thought that if she cannot get into the charity sector, that she would open her own cupcake shop!

Her SAC is a project aimed at increasing cycling amongst young people in Tower Hamlets in the run up to the 2012 Olympic Games.

Her major inspiration is Muhammad Yunus, the Noble Prize Winner and Founder of the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh.
