Krystyna Zawal
Krystyna is 24 years old. Currently, she is in her final year of International Development and International Relations (BA).
She runs a student group and also works for the Student Recruitment and Marketing Department at her university. Outside university she volunteers at a local Tower Hamlets and City Amnesty International Group.
She is a member of Uprising Gender Group and together with her group will be delivering the Social Action Campaign Inspirit in Newham which aims to increase participation of girls in sport. She believes that her campaign has great potential, should it be expanded, to bring a positive change to other boroughs in East London.
A person who inspires her is Dan Jones who has been the head of TH&C Amnesty Group for over 30 years. He began as a youth and community worker in Tower Hamlets. He has been involved in trade unions and campaigns promoting rights of ordinary Bengali people in Tower Hamlets. Krystyna admires his energy, passion and commitment.
