Aminul Hoque

Aminul is a resilient, self-motivated 23 year old who enjoys facing challenges and has the ability to grasp new skills very quickly. Although he has a very ambitious nature and is qualified with a BEng Hons in Mechanical Engineering, due to personal commitments in the past 2 years, he was not able to be as flexible (location wise) as expected to secure an Engineering related career.

However, this enabled him to pursue numerous voluntary positions, taking on lead roles in many organisations, whilst simultaneously strengthening his transferable skills through the completion of various projects.  Ultimately, he is now seeking a Project Managing role or a lead position within a community orientated organisation to help them grow whilst providing him the support to maximise my potential.

Aminul is a graduate of the Fastlaners Programme (March 2011) and currently acts as Senior Head Technician in the Science & Technology Faculty at St. Pauls Way Trust School. He also volunteers at two charities named ‘Trees4Life’ and ‘Al-Isharah’ helping to raise their profile amongst the wider community. He strongly believes in the concept of Kaizen 'continual development' and try to implement this in everyday life.

Aminul thinks that the Uprising programme so far has been great and his SAC group has established Attire2Aspire!, a social action campaign taking a unique approach to tackle unemployment in Tower Hamlets with potential plans to turn into a charity or social enterprise!
