Aaron D'Souza

Aaron is a 21 year old student in his final year of a BA History and Politics at Queen Mary, University of London (QMUL).

As an individual with a huge interest in Foreign Affairs and International Development, his current ambition is to enter the public sector working in these fields. His career ambition is to be an MP and hopefully a member of cabinet. He is also very interested in community leadership and recently had a part-time internship with an MP which further opened his eyes to the day-to-day struggles people face, much of which can be solved in the community.

His social action project is School Swap which aims to foster integration of young students living in adjacent communities in East London that do not normally interact with each other to break down barriers, conquer the post code wars of East London and provide an environment where they can learn about the backgrounds and experiences of other children their age.

Those are who inspire Aaron range from Pope John Paul II to modern day leaders like Barack Obama and sportsmen like Sachin Tendulkar who in their own way captivate an audience and encourage people to aspire, achieve and go beyond their potential and boundaries.

Aaron is a keen musician and teaches classical guitar. He also likes watching and playing sports especially football and cricket. In his spare time he also enjoys the odd strategy game and am known for playing bridge, that “old people’s” card game from time to time.
