I’m 20 years old and currently in my final year at the University of Bedfordshire studying BA (Hons) in Contemporary dance and professional practice, my passions are around performance in dance, physical theatre and community practice. My ambition in life involves the creation of opportunities for the younger generations and heightening personal development in post graduate study within the dance sector. As a student representative, crew member, teacher and an active member of the Junior Research Institution at the University, I research and create new intuitive ideas for personal development and for performances.

Making a positive change and being a vocal representative of others to gain credibility, and make a difference is what I also find rewarding. The suffragist movement led by Millicent Garett Fawcett is of great inspiration to me, regarding life ethical practices as she supported equality and peaceful protests. I strongly believe that children are the future, and for this reason the opportunities that we create and the society that we live in have great importance in motivating others to achieve happiness.

The campaign/SAP project that I am involved in encourages community participation to increase positivity and motivation to create and result in a ‘clean up’ within certain deprived areas of Bedford. The intended outcome will hopefully be an aesthetically pleasing environment to live in and associate ourselves with, and also a rise in community action and spirit. Transport within Bedford is another aspect addressed in the campaign and we aim to create lift shares within communities and improve transport systems and opportunities for the public.
