I am 23, and currently work in the Sustainability Department at Bedford College. My work is something I love and I am really passionate about it. I assess the low carbon sector, analyse needs for skills and courses, and improve the sustainability of the college and other small to medium-size businesses in the surrounding area.

I’m interested in environmental conservation, with particular emphasis on Environmental Policy.  I plan to gain experience in this field for the next two to three years, and then use my experience to support a Masters programme; my dream college would be Berkeley, California. After that, I would like to work in conservation in a more active way, such as politics and environmental decision making.

I currently volunteer for People and Planet as a media activist, and I blog write. I have only recently moved to Bedford, so I am still establishing my roots. Our SAP aims to improve people’s perceptions of Bedford and how residents feel about the town. I particularly want to do this project as I feel that it will push me to practice presentation giving, which is outside of my comfort zone.

I am inspired by strong and independent women, but also by organisations that carve a path of environmental morality through the world. The organisation that I most admire is the Green Alliance (GA), a leader in delivering ways to implement environmental policy. I am inspired by this organization because of its unending commitment to question the actions of political leaders and its intelligent approach to environmental conservation.
