Danita Goodwin
Danita is 21 years of age and a proud resident of Bedford having worked to take every opportunity the community offers. From a young age she began volunteering to teach dance classes to younger years at school and in 2008 was part of a young team that organised an event for International Women's Day raising money for the Helen Bamber Foundation. She has acted as a representative of Bedford on several occasions including a trip to 10 Downing Street and in 2009 received the Princess Diana award for her community involvement.
Danita is a recent graduate of the University of Bedfordshire, having gone on to achieve an honours degree in performing arts. She believes in the power of the arts to bring generations together and in future projects wishes to use her knowledge of performance to provide creative avenues for young people in our communities.
