Alassana Dumbia

Alassana is 24 year old, and currently studying at London Metropolitan University, completing his final year on a business management degree.

He is currently involved on several voluntary activities, one of them being an outreach team co-ordinator.  This involves liaising with different communities within Barking & Dagenham and establishing a network of volunteers that are willing to work with local employers and with the wider community in general. He is also the founder of a fundraising activity, called Perfect Muse in which he organises and plans events to raise funds, for local and non-local charities.

His career ambition is to become a civil servant, and give something back to the community and the world. His motivation to become a diplomat or ambassador is his drive to wake up in the morning and fulfil his duties as an individual and as a citizen.

There is a list of individuals that inspires him and motivates him to do more and achieve more; individuals such as his mother are the tip of the iceberg, for inspirational purposes, he could add other names such as Karl Marx and Aristotle or even Martin Luther King Jnr - all these unique individuals shape his character and being.

His mother changed his life and character, she always strived to show him that life is what we make of it, regardless of all the barriers hemay encounter along the way, and he feels it's his duty to work hard to achieve his goals and never give up the pursuit of his happiness.
